Content Management Solutions

Blue Atlas provides content management solutions (CMS) for the majority of our web site projects, in addition to integrating CMS’ with legacy web sites.  A CMS supports the creation, management, circulation and publishing of web site pages.  In simple terms, a CMS allows non-technical staff to add/edit/delete web site pages without needing to know any HTML or similar programming language.  

 The benefits of using a CMS include:

• Retaining the integrity of the original site design – design of the pages is separate from the content of the pages.
• Database driven content – content is stored in a database rather than having hundreds of web site pages to maintain individually.
• Easily supports multiple content editors – assign different staff to maintain specific sections of the web site.
• Browser-based CMS applications mean that content editors can securely edit site content from any computer that has an Internet connection.
• Time efficient – files no longer need to be downloaded, edited and then uploaded.  Via the CMS, content editors have direct access to the web site pages.
• Improve search engine results – CMS applications typically include support for user-friendly page URLs which search engines prefer.
